This visionary artisan's facilities now span a popular tourist-destination complex in Vermont -- run entirely by self-generated hydroelectric power -- as well as similar locations in Maryland and Pennsylvania. In addition to his select hand-blown glass and pottery being carried at luxury stores coast-to-coast, Pearce owns and operates 10 free-standing retail locations, including New York's Park Avenue, as well as two award-wining restaurants inside his picturesque facilities in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Quechee, Vermont.
Sawbridge Studios' Chicago and Winnetka locations carry one of the most complete collections of Simon Pearce creations anywhere. "We offer the full breadth of Simon's collection. From bowls, stemware, vases, pitchers and candlesticks to his handsome dinnerware, pottery pieces, and full line of lamps. Both of our stores have separate galleries devoted exclusively to Simon Pearce," said Sawbridge Studios co-owner Paul Zurowski. "We're delighted to bring Simon to town and invite Chicagoans to meet this incredibly talented individual."
Fans and collectors of Simon Pearce will have the chance to meet and greet the master himself, enjoy a Trunk Show of Simon's new, one-of-kind specialty glass and ceramic pieces, and have their purchases personally signed by Simon while enjoying light refreshments.
Simon Pearce will be at Sawbridge Studios, 153 West Ohio Street, Chicago on Thursday May 14 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and at Sawbridge Studios, 1015 Tower Road, Winnetka from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16. For more information visit Sawbridge Studios.
